The Orthodox Church is unique in its adhereance to both the historical and spiritual practices of Christianity founded by the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Orthodoxy can show both the historical and spiritual integrity of the Church founded by the Apostles. For this reason it is often called the "Church of the Apostles."
Though the Orthodox church has over 250 million members, most in the west are not familiar with it, nor its strict adherence to the teachings of original Christian doctrine. Orthodoxy is neither Protestant nor Roman Catholic.
